A simple plug-in to get user’s geo location details by current / given IP address
Following plug-in is based on Geo Location By IP
Which is based on IP Address Geolocation XML API
Installation
- Database needs to be autoload from CI config.
- Download the tables from ipinfodb.com.
- Import the unzipped SQL file into your database.
- Copy the code and create a file as geo_location_db_pi.php, Place the file into your system/plugins folder.

http://www.ipinfodb.com/ip_database.php
Import the data into your MySQL database using the SQL statement and check if
the table 'ip_group_city' is created
Load the plugin using:

Once loaded you can get user's geo location details by given IP address:
