I think silverstripe is a good model for getting the best of both worlds (CMS & extensible framework), so I’m hoping EE 2.0 will look a little like that… I’d probably switch to silverstripe if the community was bigger (and it were’nt so admin-uglY-by-default!)

Can you tell me, does EE have “template variables” or “custom fields” that you can add to a page?

In the CMS “MODX” you can create Template variables which are custom fields that can (as well as being an extra field) act, react or display in a certain way if you so choose to.

Does EE have Template Variables?
