Today i read the CI license in the user guide but it didnt get very clean. Can i use the software for developping a commercial applications reserving the comments showing that it is based on codeigniter?

That is the way I read it. However it does say:

1. A copy of this license agreement must be included with the distribution.
5. Products derived from the Software must include an acknowledgment that they are derived from CodeIgniter in their documentation and/or other materials provided with the distribution.

Yes its only that right?
