Hi,

I enter on the home page.

I view log, and appears like if codeigniter had been loaded two times.

I test it a lot of times and I have had the same issue always.

Due to that problem a security code is regenerated and my captcha form never recognizes the db_session stored value.

Please.. help!

This is most likely caused by how you have your Rewrite rules set up, probably the same way I have mine. Essentially, every file that isn’t found is passed through the index.php front controller. I’ve seen the same problem you’re describing when my sites were missing a favicon.ico image file, which many servers and/or browsers make a request for. If this file is missing, the request is handled by your CodeIgniter installation, which generates a 404 error, of course.

Solution: create the missing favicon.ico file in the root of your site. I usually just put an empty file there with that name.

I just arrived home!.

Well.. I try to find what file is missing or doesn’t exists and I have found a .js file. I help myself with firefox firebug debugger.

I remove this javascript load but the problem still the same. :(

You said “rewrite rules” in your response. Can you give another “light” about this issue?.

I solved this issue.

I never believe I am going to said that.. thanks to IE I have discovered an unloaded image the “no image” icon from IE. In firefox, this icon doesn’t appears, only the image isn’t showed.

But, I’d still like to know how can we solve this issue, because we always have similar situations.

You can solve the issue by properly referencing your assets. Then you won’t get 404s.
