Good point, since I do use all 3 in my web development.
1) development using Mac OS (my primary OS).
2) hosting on Linux.
3) getting frustrated solving IE-related layout problem on Windows.
4) back to Mac OS to relax.

Hmmm…. that sounds more than a little familiar. Canadian Hive Mind I guess. :D
Where are all these windows users? Show yourselves, I DEMAND IT!
I have stolen my girlfriends macbook for some development work while im stuck on holiday (no rest for the wicked) and I have fallen in love with it. For general browsing, development, gaming, everything. It seems to me to be a polished version of linux, they are VERY similar in many ways but mac is just… better!
Im not a fanboy i swear, 2 weeks ago id have said “pha! MACz” like the rest of ya. Use one!
Anyhow I agree with linux for the hosting, definatly the best solution there. CentOS, my good friend!
When you get your own Mac, be sure to check out Panic’s Coda editor. It combines SubEthaEdit, which is a collaborative editor (over the Internet), Transmit, which is their killer FTP app, a terminal, reference books, a CSS editor… all into one sleek app.
It definitely adds polish to the shine. I haven’t been this impressed by an application for a long time. It is wow!
Windows XP on laptop/server/HTPC, Windows Vista on desktop. Might put Linux on a virtual machine on my server but I have no burning desire to use Linux as main boot on any of my machines because in each case it will make something a pain in the ass.
