prep_url adds http:// to mailto: urls

Using prep_url() in the url_helper.php adds http:// to mailto: urls!

Really (in my mind) it should check for any URL protocol (ftp: etc…) before adding the http://.

To be fair, the docs are pretty clear that it will add http:// if it is missing.  Prep url was intended for, well, URLs.

Al, give auto_link() a shot, I think that’s what you’re looking for.
