Where to find Ignited Code (a compilation)

Seems like Ignited Code is spread out between the wiki, CIForge, the forums, the net.  Seems like Ignited Code is posted throughout the forums as well, making it difficult for someone looking for community resources to find.

To that end, I started a compilation in the wiki where I compiled links and summaries for libraries, helpers, plugins etc. that’s posted in the wiki and CIForge.

http://codeigniter.com/wiki/Summary_of_Resources_Libraries_Helpers_Plugins…/

Seems like CIForge is best place for this stuff, but I’ve noticed not everyone posts there.  So people looking in any one of these spots may miss out.  What is lacking on the wiki page above is what people have posted in the forums at large.

Hopefully this helps someone out…..

Maybe I don’t understand how to use the wiki.  I found it difficult to find what was available without clicking through each individual post in that wiki, and then found several that were blank or otherwise meaningless (at least to me).

The wiki entry I started is kind of a one stop shop, where you can scan over what’s out there all on one page.  I tried to organize it a little bit into sections as well.

Also, I’ve come across things that are not in the wiki (some are in CIForge or in the forums and are not in the wiki at all).

Great work a&w. I agree that the wiki is messy. Until it’s reorganized, I’ll be referencing your one-stop-shop.

Great work a&w!

It will be good if EllisLab can start on an ‘official’ ciforge. This way projects are all categorised and well organised. Right now the ignited codes are spread all over the place (wiki, ciforge, forum). For instance I’ve only submitted my ORM library in the forum. I’ve tried to sign up for a ciforge project but did not get a response. And wiki is just so painful to work with.

Just my 2 cents. smile

AWESOME!!

I looked around the CI website for this exact type of page with all of the contributions available for CI.  I think this page should have its own link in a prominent place.  The first two things I checkout when finding a new open source app to work with is the available contributions and the user base.  I had no idea CI had this many contribs and am very happy to see them all.

Write a self-referencing CIForge CI project anyone? raspberry

First of all. Great job! I really like it. I’m not too keen on the green, but that’s a matter of personal opinion. I assume that typeigniter will be skinable? The design is clean, and all that sexy Ajax stuff really works and makes the backend feel interactive.

Not to nit-pick or anything, but I noticed a rendering problem under the tabs on each app page (please see attached screenshot). I’m not quite sure why it’s happening, but I am using Firefox 3.0.5 (Linux).

Well done, and thanks for sharing. smile

EDIT: Oops, forgot the attachment… I didn’t see the error message saying that the image had to be less than 800x600, and I lack the tools and RAM on my poor little laptop to resize it. Here’s a link to the image: http://www.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/th.d39cf239fd.png
