Hey Guys,

Good discussion.  I like the function the CIforge serves also, and appreciate the resource as a CI user.

I wonder how we could open up the svn more though… do you mean allow write access to it for the community, or something else?

My memory isn’t what it was - it probably never was - but I seem to remember talk of an official, open svn where third-party projects could be maintained by the community. This would have been in response to the then infant CI Forge (and also Shadowhand was proposing to take similar action). I believe Rick’s response was (I paraphrase) “I have no problem with independent forges, but will be making an official location available when our official svn goes live.” Anyone have better recall, or more patience to search the forum? My simple problem with CI Forge remains unanswered: nobody ever shows up here to tell us what’s going on there. Of course, I could go find out if I think of it, but I don’t really need it AFAIK so I don’t give it any thought.

I Remember, therefore I think I was.

Martin, I’m definitely getting echoes on that ping (An “official repository for third party stuff”).
Buggered if I know where tho.

Sadly I also tend to forget that CI Forge exists, to the extent that I end up hosting my little contribs.
I also tend to forget about joeles alternate user guide.
They say true love tends to forget….

Maybe we finally started sharing the same hallucinations. Or is it those false memory implants finally paying off? That was the best spam I ever got. The penis enlargement stuff was just too expensive.
