In the manual it says you need to load it, but it works without loading it, and if you try to load it, then it tells you that the class cannot be found.

With some further looking it appears there are a few libraries you can seem to use without initializing at all.

I took the database library out of my autoload file, and it still works.

Do you have session encryption enabled? (That would auto-load Encrypt.)

no, its set to false. the database class also loads without having to call it either.
