Hey guys… I’ve just started a new design for FilePanda (a CI Powered site)... and I was just looking for some opinions.
I’m looking to get it in a ‘near finished’ state by tomorrow so that I can start adding more sections and modules to the site (the ‘home’ link at the top is a bit lonely).

So… what do you think of the design?
Ive included old version… for those of you who don’t know what it looked like.

It’s rather neat and tidy. But don’t take my word for it, I’m not a designers rear-end wink

Lol, well my main problem is i’m very much a developer over a designer… so sometimes my designs really suck!
Thanks for the feedback though, I appreciate it.

If people could tell me what browsers they used to look at it, that would be great too…
I’ve tested it on FireFox 2 and IE6 (with plenty of IE hacks!).

Yep, its neat and tidy…  Such an application should go with a web2.0 type style design, and light colors.

It’s very clean, but missing a logo.

I would design the entire page in Photoshop first. It is faster in my experience. Simple is good. Match the height of the upload and Google boxes? Bigger 1, 2, 3 steps? Align the typography of the upload box to a baseline grid?

Agreed, also, it needs another ‘pop’ color imo. I gave your google ads a click for ya wink.

Hi guys,

Thanks for the feedback…
I’ve now added the logo, and tried to line up the height of the upload box and the adsense container.
what do you think now?

Oh, and I’ve also added public file browsing by tagging (should produce nice tag cloud!)....
Can you guys test this as much as possible, by uploading ‘public’ files with tags ( and ‘friendly names’ if possible) ?

Thanks,

Elliot

Looks fine on IE 6.0 and Opera 9.10 but seems like there is something with the headings in Firefox 2.0.0.2
