The only thing I DON’T like (yet) is the contrast between the red top part and the blueish forum style. But the new icon is great (although I loved the bulbman a lot! wink).

The first time I logged in. with the ci prefix I had to change my username. Everything was going well until the system tries to redirect me back to the login pages.
only a white page was shown.

Ok some feedback,

I did’nt know that the change would append my old username with a ci_ until i try to use the forget password function. I wish there was some sort of email notification that hey garri your username for the codeigniter forums was change to ci_garri please login using this username and just change it back the way you want it too. downer

I love the design 31Three really rocks, I do admire they’re works but some CSS nudging would fix some dislocated magnifying icon of the search function would be really nice, Im using Firefox 2.0.0.2 on Ubuntu Linux 6.10 Edgy Eft.  blank stare

The new CI Logo is awesome! Yeah! Plus the “Built on CodeIgniter” is great!

BTW before I forgot after logging in with ci_ login then the change username thingy so i can change my username back w/o ci redirected me to a blank page http://codeigniter.com/member/login/

Overall! I enjoy CodeIgniter! CodeIgniter Rock! Ellis Rocks! Two Thumbs Up!

I have a problem with the new forum, in that the old urls I bookmarked for reference no longer work.

Here’s an example of a forum thread I bookmarked:
http://www.codeigniter.com/forums/viewthread/401

I now get this error when accessing this URL:
The following errors were encountered
You are not authorized to perform this action

Any idea how I can “convert” the old URLs to the new ones so I can access the old bookmarks?

Thanks so much,
Lee

Great job on the redesign.  Much more professional across all brands.

I would have hoped to see more CodeIgniter integration on the new website as it would have been a big vote of confidence for the framework.  It’s still not totally clear to me how CodeIgniter fits into the long term plans of the new EllisLab.  Perhaps, more information will follow in the near future (maybe even EE powered by CI smile.

You have to give 37 Signals credit for building their entire company around Ruby on Rails.  RoR developers can always be assured that, as long as 37 Signals is around, their framework will be well supported.

I also noticed that many of the forum links that I have bookmarked no longer work.

Can you provide some links?

Well someone has been busting their butt. Like it a lot.

I’m not sure, but a light drop shadow under the red bar’s background slice might help smooth the transition from the main header to the lighter colors in the content headers below.

Compare notes… new table for sites, single session across all sites, same user database across all sites. Maybe a $cur_site variable for site switching purposes.

with respects to your “ci_usernames”, it was just an effect from combining the memberlists.  It’ll get sorted out in a day or 2.  Also, the “default” forum theme has been restored if you want it (but as garri points out above, there’s a cookie bug right now, so you might have to change it then manually re-visit the forums).

I am totally disappointed… I just came back from partying… yeah… finished all my exams for the next 5 months :D However… I left then it still read “update blabala between 7 to 11 PST” and hoped that a new version of CI was getting released.. But no its just this awesome new design… okay little things have to be fixed but hay… then that is done I probably cannot remember that they have ever existed (the little bugs).

For instance, get a close look at the wiki… there are things like: “( Last updated by {author} )”

Screw all the nay-sayers. The new brand image is insanely wonderful. Congratulations to everyone involved.

You will be able to change the theme pretty soon.  Right now the feature shows but it returns a 404.
