Wordpress Alpha Pagination?

I’ve spent weeks looking for a way to have alphabetical pagination on archives in Wordpress, you know “A B C D ...”

I was wondering if anyone knew of a good way to do this or any tips for writing a custom function for the archives.

First of all, this is the CI forum not the wordpress codex (kidding). I have some (actually quite alot) experience with extending wordpress. Either you can make your own template for the archives. I have been trying to find a hook in this list but couldnt come up with anything.
