I’m new to Code Igniter. Just started playing around with it today. My first impression is that it looks really promising. CI may be the tool that I need to just get coding stuff done!

One thing that helps me a lot is a package scan of the complete framework. Finding a certain function is done in no time. Quite handy.

Nice. Except that it seems to run on an OS I can’t afford smile

Not tottaly CI replated, but I find myself fight Javascript and CSS issues half of the time.

I use Firefox and my primary browser, and downloaded two tools that nave become invaluable:
1. Firebug => Javascript debugger
2. Web Developer

Bots are available from the Firefox site.

The second one (Web Developer) I regard as a Godsent!

Maybe someone could upload the generated files. They’re about 15Mb though.

As for those two firefox extensions, that’s a must-have for every web developer!

I don’t know what kind of output phpPackageScan produces but I currently use the ZendIDE for my PHP development and have found the inspector tab to be very very handy. Especially when trying to track down certain methods within a class. It’s likely that phpPackageScan is much quicker and easier to use…but for those who are using the ZendIDE the inspector tab is worth a look.

And yes…the firefox web developer toolbar is indeed a godsend grin
