You can all download the application from http://www.iheartrant.com/app.tar.gz.

NOTE: This app is intended for learning purposes only! In case you decide to use it as a production site, my only request is that you signifantly alter the design as well as give credits where credit’s due in a form of a link to I♥Rant.com.

Cheers!

Hey Ran,

Thanks for taking the time to do this. As I said in my email this will help promote CI by providing examples we can hack apart and learn with.

I look forward to seeing what is next from you!

Thanks alot. This should be published somewhere.

Question to Derek:
Where can we put examples like this one and bamboo invoice ? I am not shure if the WIKI is the right place for that.

Gee I don’t know.  The wiki has a page devoted to this, so that does seem to be as good a place as any.

Derek,

this link is about websites that are using CI not about example code. Bamboo invoice and this application (haven’t looked at the code yet) are great for getting started with CI and learn from others. So lets put it somewhere where people can actually find it. Which leads me to the next question: Why is the WIKI not linked from the CI homepage?

Since this is an officical CI WIKI it doesn’t really make sense to me. (I know this topic has been discussed already. But let’s find a solution)

Good point.  Perhaps a new wiki page for applications with source code?

I have no idea.  My guess is that the wiki was created after CI was (much after) and it simply never was thought about.  There’s a link in the userguide…

I like the global.js functions. They’re nice and simple and provide a lot of page flexibility. Looking at this has finally made me understand the basics of an ajax progress inidicator. Many thanks Ran!

Is it ok to use these functions? They’ll be hacked slightly but its just what I’m after.

Did you try changing the base url in config.php?

Might be somewhere to start or maybe you could post what you have done so far.
