I agree. Gregs DB model will handle things quite differently which could be very interesting in my opinion.
I still thing it would be much better if Greg would share his thoughts with Rick (or Derek) if possible.
I also think Greg should release his modifications regardless of what other people might make out of it. I’m really pleased to hear the news from Rick and see that CI will be going in some exciting directions, but I’m also very excited to see that someone took CI and (possibly) made something even better out of it. I’ll go wherever I feel the best framework is that helps me the most in my work. I’d like for that to be CI, but if it isn’t then it isn’t. We all gain from everyone’s contributions being available rather than just a few. I like the decision of ‘who built a better mousetrap’ to ultimately be mine.
Not everyone might see where I’m coming from, but I think what Greg is doing is very good for CI and the CI Community. I think ultimately he might give it a nudge in a great direction.
