Just want to know in the “Watch it in Action” section after playing of 20 min tutorial video ci_blog.mov it stops with error “Buffer overrun detected”
This is known bugg in QuickTime Player. Could be good to change it to different format or split in two files.

This is the first anyone has mentioned this error message.  A Google search returns quite a bit of results, so I agree that it could be a problem.  This must only appear in certain circumstances though.  Do you run into this problem often with Quickplayer?  What sytem are you running?

You might be able to use Quicktime alternative…

In Kubuntu Linux, mplayer works OK with it. Except it sounds funny (Rick mentioned he was not happy with the sound).

Probably problem with my OS (Win XP, SP1). I even used different players for .mov files and all of them crashed on the same section (20:18) of the tutorial movie.

I only get that error if the file hasn’t finished downloading and I play it. Try using the in-browser player.

I am running Win XP Pro, SP2 with Quick Time 7.0. The videos run perfectly well for me.

I have seen that error in Quicktime 7 in two different circumstances:

1) Norton Internet Utilities, which improperly detects it as a worm.  Solution: Disable Internet Worm Protection in NIU or add the site to your whitelist.

2) DirectX drivers out of date AND/OR video card / motherboard chipset out of date.

You might see if either of those issues are at play.

There is a Windows version of MPlayer, which can play the tutorial movies perfectly.
