Send Email to Clients after a certain time

I have a form that can be filled out by users of the site. which sends an email, but also saves the content in a database to allow us to follow up on it. The question is how can I send automatic chase-email after 1 day, 1 month etc.? The dates for the actions are saved in a database. Has anyone done something similar with CI yet?
