I encountered a problem last week about an altered Output.php library and i solved the problem.I am now curious about an editor i use and its role in altering my code.I use dreamweaver and believe it or not this is what i observed.I try getting rid of the iframe tag and close the editor,i.e the view login.php has an iframe tag and i get rid of it.

I have an anti-virus software installed on my hosting server and every time i try uploading a script containing the ‘iframe’ the upload is rejected.Okay,i try opening login.php again and the iframe tag appears all over again without my knowledge.I have done some research and i have found out that the iframe is considered to be a safe harbour for some malware.

I have now come to the conclusion that the problem with Output.php was caused by some kind of virus, although i dont know that for certain.

What makes you think it is a virus? Sounds a bit odd to target Output.php specifically.

make a screenshot of the iframe code and put it here (paste might not work due to forum filtering). I’ll look and tell you if it’s anything suspect.

And about dreamweaver and other WYSIWYG editors: most developers don’t use it because of the autogenerated code it creates. Most of the time it will make a mess out of it… So there is a chance that iframe is generated by Dreamweaver ...

I am new to windows so i removed my anti-virus software just to install a new one.I had my ci.zip with me and i had not altered it in anyway.I unzip and place it on my server.I get an error on Output.php.I fix the problem but the problem shows up again this time,am ready for it,i identify an iframe.

You can read about its capabilities here, here and even here.

I will remove windows and try get a refund,WINDOWS SUCK.

What browser are you using - maybe some software (malware/spyware/adware/whatever) that is injecting these IFrames? I’m assuming it gives you these errors on a brand new CodeIgniter application - just unzip and throw into htdocs?

Even then, I still don’t see how an iframe would generate an output error - just knowing how these things work. All the software does is hijack the response your browser receives and places an IFrame within that response - that happens long after CodeIgniter is out of the picture.

My best guess: your download of CodeIgniter is corrupt and the iframe is a coincidentally side effect of other software on the machine.
