Use the MR tech toolkit to install incompatible addons.

Wouldn’t it be ironic if that didn’t work with 3.5 lol

Firefox 3.5 has been working quite well for me. Did download MR toolkit from https://addons.mozilla.org/nl/firefox/addon/421 . Somehow my “Vista Home OS” windows explorer has been hanging more than earlier, but likely it’s Microsoft ( not FF problem).

Tried it a few weeks ago and never really bothered with the add-ons. As long as firebug worked.

It really seems to be faster. At least it feels like… didn’t measure anything. Using it right now on a more than 4 years old laptop, and it feels really smooth, nice!

It may be faster, but it also seems more memory hungry
Firefox 3 used to average about 200mb, 3.5 avergaes about 300mb

It’s not a huge concern, as I have the memory to spare, although I would be concerned about running it on my 1Gb of RAM netbook (although soon to be 2Gb so will be fine)

Yup… I normally have at least 10 tabs, but now, I only have 4 tabs and a download going, and it’s at 275

I think my record was just under 1Gb of RAM for firefox lol (although i did have like 6 windows with almost 100 tabs)
