I’ve, as you may know, recently got a MacBook Pro.

I’ve installed TextMate (because I was very content with e-texteditor on windows) and I’m currently modding bundles etc. to suit my needs.

Any mods and additions to TextMate you can recommend?
(Also any other recommendations of must-have tools for OS X are appreciated)

I use TextMate, too, and complete it with TextWrangler which helps me with line feed issues, not ideal, though, still looking for a good solution to control line feeds and encoding (of projects with loads of files), I miss my Scite from Windows

Further :
Terminal (included), the ditto command to merge folders
Renamer4Mac (bought) to rename
MAMP (free version) as server, with XAMP I can’y get the mail server going
FileZilla for FTP, more out of nostalgic reasons, could import my servers from the Windows version, though
Versions (bought) for svn control
FileMerge (included) to compare files / projects, You need to have
GraphicConverter (use the trial) for favicons
Dashboard 3D LookUp with GoogleEarth (free) for some nice route maps
iChm (free) to view the PHP manual, but the search is poor
iPhoney to view the mobile sites
Jing for the tutorials
VirtualBox to check IE
RegExplorer to test RegExs

For basic testing I switched to Safari, much faster and comfortable than FireFox, especially Safari’s cache handling is smoother, got even a shortcut to purge, took some time until I stumbled over ‘Show the Develop menu’ in the preferences)

m4rw3r I suppouse you are the guy in the Ignited Record screencast.
I watched it and I really wanted to know how to get that PHP bundle pack. I already have the CodeIgniter bundle pack (I don’t know where I found it, but I don’t use it really much) but I would like to have things like function-> and phpfile-> things

Thank you in advance

TextMate comes with a PHP bundle, so open up the Bundle Editor and you’ll be able to drill down to the PHP bundle and see what kind of shortcut keys are set up.  You can then change any of them to your preference.

I have my e-texteditor bundles on my windows box, which is at my mother’s place. And I only copied the My Documents folder to my MacBook.
So it may take some time before I can put the snippets here.

Thank you very much Jamie smile
It’s done now, I never got 20 minutes to explore this program before, I’m really amazed about it’s flexibility

Cheerz!

First CodeIgniter Bundle
There is a codeigniter bundle. I found this bundle very helpful. I just use cicont<tab> then textmate writes out the basic controller for me. It saves me a ton of time.

Second ProjectPlus
projectplus download link this plugin is very helpful for textmate. It will show you svn status on your files, as well as a few other goodies.

Third textmate.org
checkout textmate.org it is a site community site for textmate that has a ton of bundles.
