SPAW is a very powerful and easy to use visual editor that I like to use in my applications.

I wanted to keep it flowing with the rest of my CI app by using the loader class to load it (instead of including it at strange places in my views), so I turned it into a custom library which can be loaded.

Yeah, I like their system alot - the interface is very slick looking too in comparison with FCK which is powerful, no doubt, but certainly not eye-candy. (I know even if it is just me looking at it, something pretty seems to make a difference in my day…)

Post here if you have any problems with it, I only did it in about 3 hours and didn’t test it exhaustively yet…

I am not entirely sure m8 - I abandoned SPAW after having an incredibly difficult time with it.

I just moved over to FCKEditor - it seems much more stable to me, personally.

Did someone else try SPAW? I’ve successfully installed it onto my CI and everything is fine, except some problems with image uploading. Maybe i am not alone?

You need create the folers structure in spaw folder

libraries

—————uploads
———————files
———————-Images

I have installed spawn 2 on a CI 1.6.2 installation and all works a charm.

I have been a user of fckeditor as well as tinymce in the past and I ensure you I’ll not go back to them after seeing this.
