I was born and raised in Southern California, where my early pursuits were in music. During my teens and early 20’s I was a rock singer/guitarist, at times hovering on the fringe of “making it”.
In my mid 20’s I went back to school to get a degree in music engineering, which lead to a busy career as a recording engineer, mixer, and sound designer for film, television, and interactive projects.
In 1995 I discovered the web and fell madly in love with it. I started making web sites for myself, then later for my music clients, turning a hobby into a part-time business.
In 2000, while in Japan mixing some shows for Tokyo Disney, I wrote a little weblog tool which would later become pMachine Pro. Initially the script was for use with my own clients, but in January of 2001 I decided to release it publicly. To my surprise it started taking off immediately.
Within a few months we were written up in MacWorld and MacAddict magazines, and McGraw/Hill published a book called “Blog On!” that featured pMachine, so I took a leap of faith to do this full time. Six years later we’re still growing.... and best of all, I’m really enjoying the ride!
I currently live in central Oregon with my wife, son, daughter and a cat named Emily.
